About Us Hi my name is Andrea. Ralph and I live in Queensland Australia about an hour drive to Brisbane and the Gold Coast. We have always had dogs, cats, birds and fish but we started keeping Rats in 1993. It came about when I was watching television and one of the evening programs featured a family with pet rats. Both of us really love animals and so when we went to the pet shop to get fish supplies, I soon became interested in the 2 rat boys Harold and Henry that were on display. One day one of them picked up the food bowl, rolled it over to his sleeping friend and put the bowl on top of him. I was sold! I had to have one of these delightfully smart and humorous creatures. So a week later we got Beatrix a female agouti hooded rat. AND the rest is history. Ratly Manor suits the name of our house it is a small wooden cottage on acreage. Ralph and I live there with our assorted varieties of babies. Dogs, cat, birds, fish and of course our rats which rule the home.
Our current rat population as of February 2007 consists of 4 males, Valentino Reggie, Felix , Cassanunda
Our dogs are Sebastian the Doberman and Gina a toy poodle x. The cat is Cassandra, the birds are Oliver the Canary, Lovey the Dove and her 4 friends. A Mudskipper called Aristotle ( Sadly after 7 plus years we lost Aristotle in July 2005) and tropical fish as well as goldfish. Come in and meet us. |
