What's New?
February 2008 I have more news ! I received a phone call from the RSPCA about 7 young rats that were desperate for homes. With help from others on the group we got them and have rehomed the 3 young 5 -6 week old mink hooded girls and the 4 boys have now joined Ratly Manor. Their names are Riley, Jarat, Zerox and Zilch.
January 2008 finds us happy with our furry ones. Zane has grown into a big boy and he now has his own page. Gina has turned 10 years old and I will add new photos of her on her page. Pepsi, Zero, Cassanunda and Valentino are all doing well .
On a brighter note we would like to welcome Pepsi and Zero into our lives in April 2007. These two were 2 of the older rats from a huge rat rescue. Zero was our PR rat for a pet show and he just was so wonderful in putting up with being handled all the time. Pepsi was timid at first but now he is a lovely big rat full of adventure.

website came about because of my discovery of these amazing pets called
rodents or rats. Most people I meet say "Why Rats? with a shudder.
Why? because I love their friendly, sweet, clever, funny personalities.
They have a beautiful coat, a warm body, they are clean and do not take
up much room in the house as long as you don't get carried away with
having more than one cage full. The website talks about the rats and has their photographs. I make rat accessories called foofferdomes as the pet stores had very little in the way of comfortable warm rat nests. See them on the Rattie accessories page.
